Healthy Weight Clinic

The School Nurse Team provides expert advice on how to help children, parents and the whole family set goals, make healthier food choices, improve self-esteem and be more active.

Are you worried about your child’s weight? Would you like ideas to help your family make healthier choices? The School Nurse Team works within Sutton Children's Health Services. We offer interactive and practical ways to help children, parents and the whole family set goals, make healthier food choices, improve self-esteem and be more active.

We do not believe in weight-loss diets, but rather in making small, sustainable adjustments with the overall goal of living a healthy lifestyle. All our advice is evidence-based and aims to improve health and wellbeing. We do not advise children lose weight, but rather that they maintain weight while growing in height.

What we offer

Healthy weight clinics provide one-to-one support and guidance to help you make the best decisions to suit your family. Advice is family-specific and customised to help you in problem-solving, self-monitoring and setting small, achievable goals. This can have a lasting impact on overall health and wellbeing.
