Children's safeguarding

The safeguarding team's aim is to ensure that all children we come into contact with are safe and can lead fulfilled and meaningful lives.

Overview of the service

This service has a comprehensive overview of the most vulnerable children within the community and uses the skills of our Looked After Children’s Nurses, Safeguarding Specialist Nursing and our Domestic Violence Specialist. 

The children’s safeguarding service is funded by Sutton Clinical Commissioning Group.

Objective of the service

The main aim of the service is to ensure that the organisation fulfils its duties under the Children's Act 2004 to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and families.

  • Named nurse
  • Specialist safeguarding nurses
  • Specialist nurses for children 
  • Team administrators

Inclusion criteria

  • All children who have a safeguarding concern are referred to this team.

Exclusion criteria

  • There is no specific exclusion criteria for Safeguarding Services.
