Respiratory Service

The Respiratory Service supports patients who have a range of respiratory diseases and supports them to manage their condition.

Overview of the service

The Respiratory Service is a multidisciplinary team of specialist nurses, physiotherapists and an occupational therapist who specialise in the treatment and management of adults with respiratory disease within the community. We support patients with respiratory disease or conditions, and help them with services including monitoring, lifestyle changes, pulmonary rehabilitation and specialist care through one-to-one and class based sessions. We also provide advice to patients and their families.

Patients can be seen in a range of settings including their own homes, clinics and GP practices.

Who can access this service?

This service can be accessed by patients who:

  • Are over 18 years of age
  • Are registered with a Sutton GP
  • Have a diagnosis of respiratory disease

  • Nurses
  • Physiotherapists
  • Occupational therapists

Is patient self-referral available?

Patients can self-refer if they have previously been treated by the team. New patients will need to be referred by to the service by their GP or care team.

Is transport provided?

No, patients will need to provide their own transport.

Are home visits available?
